Portrait of a Girl

Frida's husband, Diego Rivera, encouraged her to paint portraits of the native Mexican and Indian people. This is one of her earlier works. She was still developing her technique, and the style of this portrait is almost naïf, with very hard and simple lines. The subject in this painting is unknown.

El esposo de Frida, Diego Rivera, la animó a pintar retratos de nativos mexicanos e indígenas. Este es uno de sus primeros trabajos. Todavía estaba desarrollando su técnica y el estilo de este retrato es casi naif, con líneas duras y muy simples. Se desconoce la modelo del cuadro.
